Alvina "Al" Bayduza Obituary

The family of Alvina is saddened to announce her passing at the Dauphin Regional Hospital on July 15, 2020 at the age of 75 after her long battle with cancer.

Al was born in Morden Manitoba to William and Ann Miller on January 21st 1945, and was the eldest of three children.

Al moved to Dauphin to raise her daughter Robin and her son Shaun. Here she met the love of her life Ernie Bayduza and they were married in1977.

They lived on the Bayduza family farm where Al worked alongside Ernie. Through the years Al also worked various jobs in Dauphin including many years at Mc Munn and Yates building supplies. Al was involved with various organizations along with Ernie including 4H and the Dauphin Ag Society. After her retirement Al devoted her time to the family farm, and enjoyed time with the Legion Ladies, the Red Hatters, and helping with the Meals on Wheels program. Al and Ernie loved to host various family and friend gatherings and barbeques at the family cabin.

Al’s artistic abilities were evident in her crafts, woodwork creations, home and yard décor. Some of her passions were antique shops, craft shows and horses. She also enjoyed the programing that the Dauphin Friendship Centre offered to the community with bannock burgers on Fridays being a favorite.

Alvina was pre-deceased by her parents as well as her husband Ernie, who lost his long battle with cancer in April of this year.

Alvina is survived by her daughter Robin, son Shaun (wife Toni), two beloved grandchildren Bowdy and Ryver, brother Jim Miller (wife Nettie), sister Doris Riley (husband Peter), many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private graveside burial will take place. A friends and extended family celebration of life will be announced at a later date when the coronavirus pandemic allows for larger gatherings.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and health care aides for their continuous efforts ensuring that her care, comfort, and well-being were met.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Dauphin Friendship Centre.
