Allen Powell

We, the family, would like to announce the passing of Allen Powell, on Monday, May 2, 2022 at St. Paul’s Home in Dauphin at the age of 80 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his partner, Eleanor Thomson; children Christine (Shawn) Luky, Naomi (Brian) Sinkarsin, and Warren (Kim) Powell; grandchildren David Sinkarsin, and Christen Sinkarsin (Jesse).

Allen is also survived by his sister Florence (Brian) Thompson, brother Robert (Melodie) Powell as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Eleanor’s brother Dan Dicks and granddaughter Taylor Leckman are also part of our extended family.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Sneath-Strilchuk Riverside Road in Dauphin. Pastor Jeff Romas officiating.

A private family gathering for interment will take place at a later date.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Allen may be made to St. Paul’s Personal Care Home or a charity of your choice. 

The family thanks everyone involved in the care for Allen at St. Paul’s. The care Dad received from all staff was far beyond our expectations. We always felt assured that Dad was being given the best possible comfort care during his time there.

Rest in Peace Dad, we love you – you will never be forgotten.
