Albert Bilodeau Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Albert Bilodeau of Ste. Rose du Lac announces his passing on Thursday, July 16th, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Dad passed peacefully at the Dr. Gendreau Care Home in Ste. Rose.

No words can express our sadness and loss for this very special man who touched many lives and left an imprint on many hearts.

Dad was born on July 4, 1930, to Joseph and Josephine Bilodeau. Dad was the fifth youngest of 17 children where he began his life journey in Laurier MB.

Dad will be remembered for his calm and caring ways. Some things dad enjoyed were going for scenic drives, country music and watching CNN. His smile could light up any room especially if it involved ice-cream. He loved to reminisce, share countless stories and many jokes. Dad’s true love was for his family.

Dad leaves to cherish his memory: son Lionel (Debbie), daughters Debbie (Brent), Donna (Bill); grandchildren Jaime (Dean), Laura, Teri (Daniel), Craig (Chelsea), Chloe, Tessa, Dawson and Aiden and great-grandchildren Andrew, John, Timothy, Cash, Casey and Ryan.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church in Ste. Rose du Lac with Fr. Patrick Neufeld celebrating the mass. Interment followed in the Laurier RC Parish Cemetery, Laurier, MB
