Peacefully with family by his side, husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew; Adilore Laquette was called into rest with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on January 2, 2026 at the Brandon General Hospital at the age 61 years.
Adilore leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many wonderful memories his devoted wife of 38 years, Sara; his children, Carmen, Sarah, Tristana, and Molly; his grandchildren, Carson, Orlando, Merrill Jr., Cecily, Breena, Rainbow, Royce, Thunderstorm, Renesmae, Elias, Sarah, Harmony, Temecia, Lexus, and Aaliyah; and his great-grandchildren, Texas, Kade, and Matias.
He is also survived by his brother; Kenneth Laquette, brother-in-law; William Bull, Sisters; Virginia (Marcel), Delores, Grace, Leona and Karen. Sister- in-laws; Marcelline, Darlene, Marilyn (AKA Chip), and Janet Lacquette. Uncles and Aunts; James L. Chartrand and Walter Gabriel, Marybert Catcheway, Maggie (Amos) Marion, Rose Lavallee, Christine (Gary) Campbell, and Delma Anderson. God Child: April Bull and special grandchildren; Thunderstorm Laquette, Breena Mancheese and Rainbow (Bubble Gum) Mancheese.
Adilore was born on December 6, 1964, the fourth child of Alfred and Elizabeth Laquette. He was raised in Mallard, where as a young boy he could often be found spending time with his Laquette cousins and many friends in the community. There, he built lasting friendships and cherished many memories. During his youth, Adilore enjoyed helping his parents with household responsibilities such as chopping wood, gathering water, and caring for his younger siblings whenever needed.
Adilore’s life took a new path when he met Sara. He later moved to O-chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation, where he married Sara and together, they began building their family. Adilore was a loving husband and a devoted father whose family meant everything to him. He was known for his kind and compassionate nature, always ready with a joke or a warm smile to bring laughter to those around him.
Music was one of Adilore’s greatest passions. He loved playing instruments, with the lead guitar holding a special place in his heart. He faithfully shared his musical talents at church, where his love for worship and service shone through his music.
Adilore shared a special bond with each of his grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. Through laughter, conversation, and simply being present, he made each grandchild feel deeply loved and valued. Adilore’s gentle spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and faith will be remembered and cherished always by those who knew him. Adilore was predeceased by his parents; Alfred and Elizabeth Laquette, brothers; Gary and Clarence, sister; Lorraine (infant). Father and Mother-In-law; Clifford and Cecilia Bull, Brother in laws; Johnny and Ernest. Sister In laws; Caroline and Mabel.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit and Palliative Care Unit at Brandon General Hospital for their compassionate care. The family also wishes to thank O-chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation, Skownan First Nation, and all of their family and friends for the love, support, and kindness shown during this time.
A Viewing was held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm from House # 5013 in Crane River.
A Wake was offered on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm from the O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi Band Hall in Crane River.
A Funeral Service was held for Adelard on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm from the O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi Band Hall in Crane River with Pastor Frances Roulette officiating.
Interment followed in the Crane River Reserve Cemetery.
