Adam Prokopowich passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the age of 88 years.
Adam was born on December 11, 1936 to Mary and Andrew Prokopowich, the eldest of four children. On November 6, 1959 he married Nadia Kingerski. Together they started a family, raising four children in Ethelbert.
Adam worked various jobs, including road construction, farming, owning his own Texaco station in Ethelbert and a mechanic position with Duck Mountain School Division. This position he
worked for 26 years until his retirement in 2007.
In 2014 Adam moved to Happy Haven in Dauphin, where he made many new friendships. He enjoyed going for coffee with friends and chatting with neighbors.
Adam is survived by his children Brian (Janice), Brenda (Al), Brad, Bruce (Shannon); grandchildren Tracy, Amy, Ashley, Morgan, Mikhail, Deklan, Jocelyn (Nick), Rhiley (Kamryn), Madison; great grandchildren Ariella and Oliver. His sisters Nadia (Ken) and Shirley (Ron), and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Andrew, wife Nadia, daughter-in-law Maureen, granddaughter Jennifer, sister Helen and brother-in-law Carl, and brother-in-law Steve.
A Funeral Service was held for Adam on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm from the Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin with Rev. Father Brent Kuzyk officiating.
Interment will followed in the Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery - Ethelbert.
