Theodore (Ted) Thomas Colledge passed away peacefully at the Grandview Hospital, October 22, 2019 from complications of a stroke. Ted was born October 24, 1936 in Chatham, ON to Evelyn and Glen Colledge. Ted spent his youth in Ontario working the market garden business with his family and grandparents. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Margaret Ebare and brother Glen Colledge. He moved to Calgary as a young man and stayed there until 2007 moving on to Dauphin, MB. Ted leaves behind his partner of 39 years Jean Ste. Marie, children Michelle (Darrel) Stewart - grandchildren, Caleb and Hailey, Darrin (Stacy) Colledge, Sham (Todd) Warnick. Ted retired from the City of Calgary in 2001 where he drove city bus for 29 years. Before that he was a pressman for Kellogs in London, Insurance Salesman for Eatons, drove delivery trucks, semi trucks, taxi and motorcycles. Ted liked to drive and all the trips to winter in Texas had to be by road - no flying for him. Ted enjoyed his large garden in Dauphin and the peacefulness of his backyard. He took great pride in his neat yard and no weeds in the garden. Ted was an excellent wine maker too and always had a cool bottle in the fridge for anyone that dropped in. Ted was proud to be a Mason, Shriner and Associate Legion Member. Ted was a very positive person who loved life, he never entered or left a room quietly. He will be missed.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Ted may be made to the Parkland Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.
The family hosted a Celebration of Life for Ted at the Dauphin Legion on November 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm all friends were welcome to attend.
