It is with great sadness, and broken hearts that Steven Genik passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the age of 56.
Steven was born in Dauphin, MB on January 24, 1962. Steven graduated from the DRCSS and continued on to receive his Red Seal in Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics.
Steven enjoyed farming, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family. Steven loved to travel, trips enjoyed- Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Mexico. These trips were very special to Steven as he made so many memories with his wife and sons. Steven was very proud of his sons, and would always speak of their achievements. Steven would text them every day and always ended with “Love You Kiddo” following many emojis.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Genik (Flipchuk) of 28 years. Their two sons, Matthew Genik (Destiny Gray-Harlow) and Reid Genik (Azaliea Beaulieu-Jiggins). Also sister Brenda Genik, sister Karen Harrison (Doug Harrison) and brother Rob Genik (Angela Genik), and niece, nephews and many aunts and uncles.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Genik (March, 2006) and Irene Genik (August, 2018).
Steven you will be forever in our hearts, and remembered as a strong man, best friend, loving husband and the best “DAD” ever.
