Robert Laverne Cords

Robert Laverne Cords of Grandview, MB passed away at his home Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the age of 91.
Dad was born April 29, 1928 in Grandview, MB to William and Winnie Cords (Aikman).  He married Lorene Ellen Martin on October 26, 1956.  Together they raised four sons, Don, Tom, Brad, and Mark.  He lived his entire life in the Pleasant Valley District doing that which he loved, farming.
He is survived by his four sons and two siblings, Allan Cords and Wilda Fisher, both of Grandview.  Also, he is survived by sister-in law Alice Britton of Victoria, BC as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents Williams and Winnie Cords, wife Lorene, September 18, 2002 and brother Harry September 24, 1975.  Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Allen Fisher, Leonard Martin, and  Robert Britton as well as sister-in-law Gertrude Cords.
A family graveside service was held on June 5, 2019 at the Grandview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Karen Kuzek as officiant.  Pallbearers were Robert's four sons and nephews Jim Cords and Barry Cords.
