Raymond Shingoose Mousseau

Raymond Shingoose Mousseau of Ebb and Flow passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the age of 64 years.  

Raymond “Shingoose” Mousseau - Blue Thunderbird of the Deer Clan (Age 64).

Raymond is survived by his wife Karen. His Children; Ray Jr. & Tanya, Garry & Tricia, William “Billy-Jo” and Samantha. His grandchildren; Kyle, River, Sage Migiziins, Clinton Riley, Layla, Kayden, Desrae, Gianna, Leena, Janelle and a great granddaughter.  His siblings; Maurice (Laura), Patrick (Nadine), Russell (Tammy), Doreen (Rene), Elaine, Evangeline (Patrick), Lena and Shawna. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and inlaws.

He was predeceased by his son Raymond William James Mousseau and grandson Cody, his grandparents William and Therese, and parents Joseph and Mabel.

Raymond was a devoted husband, dad and papa. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family.

Raymond spent most of his time with his wife and visiting friends and family. He would make his coffee rounds visiting his friends; Rose, Judy, Mary, Moise and Ronnie. Raymond enjoyed going to powwows and auction sales and watching his grandson Clinton play hockey. He also enjoyed the outdoors; cutting grass, keeping his horses, hunting, trapping and snaring.

Raymond was a Traditional man; a healer, traditional powwow dancer, lodge keeper and pipe carrier.

In his younger days, he was an amazing hockey player, and he passed this gift on to his children and grandchildren.

He will be missed dearly.

A time of visitation and viewing was held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a service led by Elder Bobby Ironstand at 5:00 pm in the Sneath-Strilchuk - Ste. Rose Chapel. All of Raymond's nephews were to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers.  

In accordance with Raymond's wishes, cremation will take place following the service
