Paul Hrushowy passed away peacefully on June 16, 2018 at the St. Paul's Home in Dauphin, MB. Paul will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Nellie of 67 years, 2 daughters, Sandra and Jo-Ann and one son Delmar and wife Caroline, also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter Lana and son Kenneth; his parents Simon and Leona; his siblings, Marion (Fred), Verna (Michael), Alice (Paul) Barb, Doris, William, Samson, Ivan (Olga), Nick (Regina), Ted (Bernice), Kay (Bill).
Paul was born January 1, 1922 in the Fork River Bicton Heath District, receiving his education at Bicton Heath School.
His father passed away when Paul was a young child. As Paul grew up, he became very responsible to work on the farm to make a living for his mother and siblings. He didn't go to the Army as he was full time helping at home.
Paul was married to Nellie in 1951. They began their lives together in the Bicton Heath District. They enjoyed farming. Paul loved nature dearly, he loved to hunt, trap and fish. Paul drove school bus for 20 years. They retired in 1986 and moved to Dauphin, MB.
Above all that Paul enjoyed in this life, the highlight and best in life, came, when he heard the Precious Gospel of Jesus in 1939. Two of God's True Homeless Ministers who left all came to have Gospel meetings in the Bicton Heath School. Paul greatly loved the Gospel and embraced it. It filled his life with peace and joy and gave him a hope beyond the grave. He loved and served God right until his passing.
Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with officiating ministers Dustin Collins, Sandra McDermit, Jon Moore. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB. Pallbearers were Dale Genik, John Higgins, Jim Buhler, Tim Jury, Warren Radbourne, David Waldner.
