Olga (Burak) Balanyk

Olga Balanyk passed away on October 21, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

Olga was born March 16, 1931 in Ukraina, MB to Nikola and Annie Burak.  She received her education in Belle Creek school.
On November 2, 1949 she married Metro Balanyk.  They farmed in the Boyan district until the fall of 1982 when they retired and moved to Ethelbert.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Metro, her parents Nikola and Annie, her two brothers Metro and Harry and her grandchild Eric.
She is survived by her loving family, Shirley and husband Don of Swift Current, Gary of Snow Lake, Ed and wife Evelyn of Ethelbert, Ron of Ethelbert, Joyce and husband Carl of Winnipeg and Barb and Rob of Brandon. Seven grandchildren Madelaine, Michael, Scott, Jessica, Ashley, Ethan and Joanne.  Three great grandchildren Mika, Violet and Tavin.
The family thanks the wonderful care given at the Grandview Personal Care Home.  In her last few days the staffs compassion and tenderness brought a smile to her face.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Rev Father Yaroslav Strukhlyak officiating.  Interment followed in Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Ethelbert, Manitoba.
