It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael Racette - Blue Thunderbird of Ebb and Flow First Nation on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the age of 41 years.
Mikey was born in Ste. Rose du Lac and raised on the Ebb and Flow First Nation where he resided all of his life. He touched many lives in his own way, especially by helping whoever needed his help. Mikey was a hard working young man who worked wherever he could land a job. He was a very kind and caring man who sought little in life for himself, but gave all he could of his time, love and support to his family.
Mikey was predeceased by his baby girl, Charity Mousseau-Racette; his paternal great grandparents, Julia Hunter and Jean Racette; his paternal grandparents, Bertha and Bonaparte Racette; his uncles, Michael, Douglas and Don Racette, Clements and Walter McKay; his brother, Scott McKay; his grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth McKay; his aunts, Eileen McDonald, Adeline Houle, Myrtle Racette, Darlene Racette and Delores Racette.
Mikey leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories; his wife of nine years Krystal; his daughters, Kiara and Georgia Mousseau; his parents;mother, Denise Racette Courchene (Brian Sr); father, Fred McKay (Melissa); his brothers, Josie, Fred Jr McKay, Brian Jr Courchene; his sisters, Donna, Kristin, Delores, Denise Jr and Margaret Bull; his godchild, Keith Jr. Racette-Mousseau; and his special friend, his dog, Boots, along with numerous extended family members and many friends.
Wake and Prayer Services began on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 5:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation.
Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation.
Interment in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
