Matt Kostur Obituary

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing  Dmetro "Matt" Kostur on April 16, 2019  at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre.

Matt was born on October 20, 1935 in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba to Sam and Lena Kostur (Zywina).

Matt worked for the Department of Highways until his retirement in 1993. Matt loved spending time outside in the sun and working in his yard and garden. He was an avid traveller and always had his camera ready to capture the moment. He also loved attending the LDS Church, camping, waterskiing, telling stories and a fresh plate of perogies with a glass (or two) of Coke.

 Matt will be forever remembered by his loving wife Violet; children LeeAnn (Casey) and Michael; his sisters Pearl (Harvey) and Mary (Ron); and brother Harry (Mary); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. 

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 am from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Dauphin, MB with Branch President TJ O'Sullivan officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.  Pallbearers were Richard Kostur, Brian Kostur, Casey Hibbert, Tyson Widenmaier, Elder Souni, Elder Reidhead.
