Mary Ida Flett

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Ida Flett - Ozahawashko Bineshii Ikwe - Blue Thunderbird Woman on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the age of 94 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Fred Flett; her parents, Julia Flett & Pierre Garneau; her children, Violet (Flett) Houle, Ivan Flett, Harold Flett, Myrtle Racette and an infant baby, her grandchildren, Candace Saar, Philip, Corrine McLeod, Byron Malcolm; her great-grandchildren, MJ Chippeway, baby Joey, baby Jordan; her siblings, Lawrence (Irene) Garneau, Del (Clara) Garneau, Joe (Alice) Garneau; her son-in-laws, Manny Delorme, Len Saar and Don Racette along with her aunts & uncles, numerous nieces and nephews. 

She leaves to mourn her passing, her childre,  Eric Flett (Suzie), Rhonda McLeod (Francis), Ron Flett, Audrey Flett (Howard), Beatrice Delorme (Dodie), Manuel Flett (Rena), Laverne Saar, Mervin Garneau and Franklin Mousseau (Glynnis); her son-in-law, Mervin Houle; her daughters-in-law, Denise Flett and Dawn Flett; the family dog, Daisy; her godchildren, Donna Ahmo, the late Lena Malcolm and Jane Richard along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mary had two special grandchildren, Destiny Roulette and Kelly Houle. Mary had many 5th generation grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

The family would like to thank everyone that cared and took care of our mother, Mary. Thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Team, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Bayshore Home Health. Special thanks to Isabel, Irene, Monica, Bernie, Art & Annette, Mike & Donna, Rhonda & Brian, Glen Cochrane (Spider), Lawrence and Charity and all that visited with Mary on many occasions. 

 Wake and Prayer Services were held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 5:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow, MB 

Funeral Service was held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow, MB.  Fr. Dominique Kerbrat, OMI will officiate.  

Interment in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
