Marie Rapchuk

It is with great sadness the family of Marie Rapchuk announce her passing in Russell, Manitoba on August 11, 2019 at 75 years of age. 

Marie was born in San Clara, to Annie (nee Jerome) and David Branconnier on October 9, 1943. She spent her childhood in San Clara and attended school at Grand Narrows.  Eventually she would meet and marry the love of her life John Rapchuk. They started a young family in Wroxton, SK and then moved to Snow Lake until 1993 when they retired back to Roblin. Marie was an extraordinary mother and wife, she was a very talented cook, gardener and all around excellent homemaker. Marie also finished her working career as an Educational Assistant prior to retirement. Marie was a very devoted Roman Catholic and gave much of her time to the Sacred Heart Parish in Roblin. She was a strong woman and wasn’t afraid to tell it like it was. She will be missed by all those she touched. 

Marie is survived by son, Dennis (Dawna) Branconnier, daughter, Margie Van Dijk, son, Corey (Billy) Rapchuk; grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Braden and Robert. She will be missed be her many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other extended family who were great support and help during her illness. Marie is joining her beloved husband, John; her parents, and many of her brothers and sisters in Heaven. 

A cremation has taken place and Marie will be laid to rest beside her husband, John at the Roblin Catholic Cemetery.
