Mae passed away on May 12, 2019 at the age of 77 years old after a short stay in the Grandview Hospital.
Mae was born Nov. 7, 1941 in Grandview, MB. to Mike & Anna Huska. Mae attended the Mountain Gap School. She stayed on the family farm till she married Stanley KALECHYN on Oct. 14th, 1960. They moved to Winnipeg shortly after and lived there till April 1962 then moved back to Grandview.
Mae had worked at the Middlechurch Home before she started her family of 6. She concentrated on raising her family then went back to work at the Grandview Hotel, Bus Depot in Dauphin and St. Paul's Care Home in Dauphin till she retired in 2006.
Predeceased by her husband, Stanley in 2005. Her brothers Norman, Bill, John, Pete, Tony & Fred. Her brothers-in-law Mike, Walter, Tom, Harry & Jack. Sister Pauline and sisters-in-law: Mary, Anne, Sophie and Theresa. Also of course her parents (Mike & Anna Huska) and Stan's parents (Alex & Rose KALECHYN). Along with the dog she loved very much, Buddy.
Surviving to mourn: Sons - Edward (Jackie), Jerry, Brian, Brent, Jim (Angie) Daughter - Brenda (Tom)
Grandchildren - Crystal, Stanley (Meghan) , Amanda (Amanda), Adam & Jason (Vannessa): Great Grandchild - Jase: Sisters - Mary (Calgary) and Elizabeth: Sisters-in-law: Mabel and Olga: Brother-in-law: Tony. Along with all her nieces and nephews too.
Mae was a small but mighty lady that lived her life the way she wanted. Stress was not a word in her vocabulary. Mae loved her home, flowers and garden along with a great cup of coffee and good conversation. Mae was always happy to see her grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. She will be missed...
A Graveside Service was held for Mae on Monday May 20th, 2019 2 pm at the Grandview Memorial Gardens and District Cemetery in Grandview, MB. Should friends & family so desire, donations in memory of Mae may be made to the Grandview District Hospital Box 339 Grandview, MB. R0L 0Y0.
