Lucy Kruk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucy Kruk on March 16, 2019 at the age of 78 years.
Lucy was born in Dauphin, MB to Stanley and Mary (Kouzchowski) Czarnecki.  She received her education in Lemberg and Dauphin and Teachers College.  She taught in rural schools for three years but it wasn't her cup of tea.  She worked in Winnipeg for several years, then she moved to Edmonton, AB where she worked at O'Leary Catholic High School.  while in Edmonton she met Joseph Kruk, whom she married August 12, 1967.  Lucy and Joe returned to Dauphin in 1971.  Lucy worked for Canada Employment Centre Admin Dept., retiring in 1994 due to health reasons. 
She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories, her husband Joseph; son Sheldon (Allison); daughter Karla (Trent); grandchildren Brendan, Drayson, Kennedy, Taylor and Jerrilynn; step grandchildren Logan and Brayden; brothers Henry (Linda), Ted (Stacy); sisters-in-law Sylvia and Lena, nieces and nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Frank.
The family would like to thank St. Paul's Care Home, North Station, for their excellent care of Lucy during her stay. Thank you to Fr. Patrick Neufeld and St. Viator's Church, the Catholic Women's League for lunch and all who took part in the mass.  Thank you to friends and family for the all the visits, food and caring words of condolence.

Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 am from St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church in Dauphin, MB with Father Patrick Neufeld officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB. 

Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Lucy  may be made to MS Society of Canada or a charity of one's choice .
