Linda Simpson

Linda Simpson, age 66, passed away on December 29, 2019 at the Dauphin Personal Care Home.

Linda was born on June 12, 1953 in Camperville, MB to Edward Simpson and Stella Simpson (McLeod). Linda was a sister to Susie Matwee, Peter Simpson, Gloria Flatfoot (Simpson), Lawrence Simpson, Florence Flatfoot (Simpson), Mary Rose Nepinak (Simpson), Adeline Dezall (Simpson), Ernest Simpson and Kenneth Simpson.

Linda spent some time working as an education assistant. Linda lived in many places, a few to mention are Camperville, MB Winnipeg, MB, Norway House Cree Nation, MB, Winnipegosis, MB and Dauphin , MB. She had many hobbies and interests, for example, quilting, beading, jig saw puzzles, cards and board games.  Linda also enjoyed gardening, baking, canning and sewing, she also had a love of animals.

Linda is survived by her special friends of the past, Cliff Toews and Mervin Chartrand; her sons Edward Simpson (50) (Kellie, Ernest Chartrand (36) (Hollie) and daughter Roberta Simpson (48). Linda is also survived by eight grandchildren, Samantha, Joselyn, Kirstie, Rain, Chanice, Nicole, Julian and Jasmine, and nine great grandchildren, Azrael, Solara, Bishop, Samissa, Katherine, Huntress, Serenity, Rarity and Royalty. Her surviving siblings are, Florence, Mary Rose, Adeline, Ernest and Kenneth, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda is predeceased by her parents, her son Darren Simpson (15) and siblings Susie, Peter, Leonard, Gloria, Lawrence and most recently her niece Victoria Flatfoot.

Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Rev. Michel Nault officiating.
