Landon "Landzo" Thompson Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of Landon “Landzo” Thompson, announce his tragic passing on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the age of 21 years.
Landon Victor Thompson was born on February 7, 1998 in Winnipeg, MB to Mary Thompson and Victor Perry.  It could definitely be said that Landon could not wait to get out into this world.  After being lifeflighted from Dauphin to Winnipeg; a month and a half premature, he began his memorable life in Dauphin, MB.  Although Landon started out as a tiny 4lb 11oz baby , he had grown to be the 6ft 3inch tall man we all loved.  Landon was one of a kind, his humor is something that we will always remember about him, he had the ability to cheer anyone up.  He grew up with his older brother Jeffery, sister Kaleigh and younger sister Serenity.  As kids, everyone would often be at grandma’s house, where it was always an adventure.  Landon, Jeffery, Kaleigh, Jen and Jordon always found some kind of game to play.  Whether it be bale log, hide and go seek in the dark, deer hunter or ball tag on the trampoline: which was one of his favourites.  Landon loved when all of the adults would join in and play games with us during family gatherings.  Landon also loved annoying the turkeys and getting them to chase us around Grandma’s farm.  Landon was often the guinea pig when it came to breaking in horses because he was by far the craziest in the family and loved the thrill and adventure.  His thrill-seeking mentality lead him to be very accident prone, resulting in Mary spending quite some time with him in the hospital.  He eventually had his own pocket sized first aid kit that he carried around with him, just in case.  Landon was the baby of the family until his cousin Kaitlyn was born. He often liked tricking her into doing things she didn’t always enjoy.  Landon was a family man and showed pride in the things he was proud of: his house that he fixed up and filled with his mamma’s furniture and cooking ware turning it into a home.  He was very happy once he completed the “Strive” program at the Assiniboine Community College.  Landon was very proud of himself when he gained his licence and got himself a car of his own.  Landon would often call his mom, letting her know how he was doing, how his day went, or just to talk.  Landon was the jokester in the family, no matter who he was with or where he went, he never left without making everyone laugh.  His laugh would always be the loudest of all and he had a smile that would light up a whole room.
Landon was predeceased by his papa Joe Lavallee, grandpa Clifford Ferland, uncle Kelly Kulcheski and his dog Buddy.
He is survived by his mother Mary Thompson, father Victor Perry, brother Jeff Thompson (partner Summer Leeland), sister Kaleigh Thompson (fiancé Linden Riley and son Jaxxon), sister Serenity Genaille, grandma Josephine Thompson, koko Elizabeth Perry as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Life is never going to be the same without you, Landzo.  We will see you again, you crazy daffodil you.
