Kenneth Munro Obituary

Wallace Kenneth Munro age 59 passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 30th 2018 at his home in Pine Creek, Manitoba. He was born on September 10th 1958 in Swan River, Manitoba to Mary Elizabeth (Nepinak) & Douglas Joseph Munro. Wally attended school in Duck Bay, MB where he always enjoyed interacting with his friends & teachers.  He was always involved in a wide range of sporting activities. Later in his younger years his family relocated to Leaf Rapids, MB to become employed with Sherritt Gordon Mines, where Wally himself became a rock wagon truck operator.  This is where he met Shirley Constant from which 3 children Marietta, Charlene & Jamie (Ferly) would become part of their lives. Then later on in life he was once again blessed with another son Kirk Genaille, in which he was always grateful to be part of his life. Wally was well known throughout his life for being there as the guy who would give you the shirt off his back and was always there when one of his family or friends needed him. During the last years of his life he cared for his elderly father right until his departure, which signifies the person Wally was. Wally enjoyed life and lived it the best way he knew how.

Wally is survived by his father Douglas Munro; brother Garry Munro (Anna); sister Loretta Chartrand (Fabian); children Marietta, Charlene, Jamie (Ferly) & Kirk Genaille; godchildren Tanya Munro & Xavier Beardy. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wally was predeceased by his loving mother Mary Munro; grandparents Joseph & Catherine Munro, Johnny & Henreitta Nepinak; sister in law Gladys Munro; nephew Andy-man Chartrand.
