It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Hannah (Hall) Davies on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother. Helen was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on November 17, 1926.
She married Tom Davies of Kelwood, Manitoba on January 15, 1945 at Selkirk, Scotland and came to live in Canada. They had 61 years together. She was predeceased by her husband Tom in 2006 and infant son Jeffrey Thomas.
Helen was a war bride coming to Canada in 1945 at the age of 19 years old. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother. She loved gardening and all the nature that surrounded it. She was an avid reader and very much aware of world news and politics and was always up for a good political debate.
Words written by Mom following Mom and Dads 50th wedding anniversary “life has been good to us”.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Sandra and John Barnsdale, Ian Davies (Janet) and Garth Davies (Inez) and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as her Sister-in law Merle Hunt along with many special nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff of Riverview Personal Care Home for their kindness and thoughtful care.
Forever loved.
