Gertie Bertha (Richard) Lavallee

Gertie Bertha Lavallee (nee Richard) was born February 5, 1927, passed away on November 29, 2017 with her family by her side, at the age of 90. She is survived by her children, Martha (Maurice), Norma (Frank) Barbara (Rudy), Maureen, Rose, Richard, Agnes (Harry), Larry (Sue), John (Marie), Maurice, Ron (Andrea). She is predeceased by her husband Robert of 60 years, her son Joe Buck, her grandson Rick and her two daughter-in-laws, Joyce and Evangeline. She is survived by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.  Gertie was born and raised in Camperville. Together, Robert and Gertie raised 12 children with whom she adored. She was very proud of her children and loved having them visit home. Mama Bear enjoyed spending time with her 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 23 great great-grandchildren. Gertie enjoyed a good card game, winning all of our money, leaving us bookshka! Another past time she enjoyed was playing VLTs (ching ching ching) and just spending time with her family. In her younger years, Gertie and her husband Robert, spent many days and nights out at their trapper’s cabin. Gertie will not be forgotten, she leaves many cherished memories and will be remembered fondly by all her family and friends. We love you Mama Bear, we will all miss you so very much but we know your suffering has ended and you are now with Papa Bear. 

Honourary Urn Bearers for the service will be all her grandchildren.  Interment will take place at a later date.
