George Ashby Obituary

George Ashby, of Roblin, MB passed away Friday February 15, 2019 at the age of 92.

George Walter Ashby was born May 2, 1926 to John and Gertrude Ashby of Roblin MB. In 1959 George married Isabel Rogers of Makaroff and raised three daughters Patricia, Gina & Colleen. George farmed and worked winters at various jobs including many years at the curling rink. George enjoyed reading, the farm and his garden.

George is survived by daughters Patti (Trevor Kehrer), Gina (Tony Marmolejo), Colleen (Jeff Fauth); grandchildren Ashley (Ted George), Logan Fauth, Lindsey Mazy and Emma Kehrer; great granddaughters Leigh and Drea George; sister Arlee Ashby.

George is predeceased by his wife Isabel; parents John and Gertrude Ashby; sisters Gladys Burch, Mildred Ashby; brother Gordon Ashby.

A private family service and interment will be held at the Roblin and District Cemetery at a later date. If friends or family so desire, memorial donations may be made in George's memory to: Roblin Knox United Church, Box 156, Roblin MB R0L 1P0 or Keystone Pioneers Museum, Box 10, Roblin MB R0L 1P0
