She is survived by her brothers Jimmy and Alvin, brothers and sisters in law, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous friends all to many to mention, and of course her cat “Jazzie”.
She was predeceased by her husband Art, sons Autry and Randy, daughter Kara Lynn and two grandchildren, Kenneth and Michelle. Elsie was also predeceased by her parents Jim and Evna Spence, sisters Yvonne, Florence and Frances, her brothers Willie, Garland and Donald.
Elsie was born in Eddystone, MB on August 3, 1935. She received her education in Dauphin. Then on February 16, 1952 she married Art Pacey. In 1959 they bought a farm and began their life long journey together. She was always up for a challenge and her gardening proved that. She was always busy, knitting, baking, making rugs, canning and most of us were given something she made. Elsie enjoyed puzzle books, reading and candles and Louis Lamour books. Bingo’s in Eddystone brought joy to her, while being with her cousins. Many will remember her for her table from flea markets days; she sure fed a lot of people in Dauphin. There is so much to be said, so please take a moment to reflect on your memory of a very special loving and giving woman, our mother. Mom & Dad together forever.
Prayers will be offered on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 7:00 pm from St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm from in Dauphin, MB with Father John Legitimas officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB. Pallbearers are Brian McCorrister, Allan McKay, Chris Spence, Joe Spence, Marcien Spence, Herman Spence.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Elsie may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
