Donna Rehirchuk Obituary

Donna  Rehirchuk of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 41 years.

Donna Ann Rehirchuk, eloquent writer, style guru and spiritual cheerleader was born on September 6, 1977 in Dauphin, Manitoba to Peter and Phyllis Rehirchuk (nee Kereluk).  She attended school in Gilbert Plains and graduated from the DRCSS in Dauphin, MB.  During her school years, she was a Majorette, and was active in numerous school groups.  She obtained her Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba, where she balanced her love of acquiring knowledge with her love of purposefully building relationships.  This then lead her to working at Bayer Crop Science as a Call Center Manager for numerous years.  In 2002, she returned to university to study, and achieved her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (with Distinction) from the University of Regina.  This degree started her journey to a very successful, remarkable and esteemed career path.  Donna held several note-worthy titles within the Government of Saskatchewan, including Media Relations Officer, Assistant Director of Communications and Executive Director of Communications for the Ministry of Agriculture, Director Service Excellence for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority and Executive Director of Communications for the Saskatchewan Public Service Commission, often working directly with the ministers and premier.  We are quite sure she was the youngest director and executive director in the Ministry of Agriculture.  She was also a Communications Consultant at the Canadian Wheat Board for a year between her government positions.  Even at the top of her career, Donna knew she wanted more than any title could give.  Leaving her dear friends and colleagues she did what many of us dream of doing - she took a sabbatical to focus on her dreams, her relationships and living a full and joy filled life.  She made a conscious choice, to spend her fortieth year focusing on herself, her creativity and her passions - including travelling and spending quality time with her mom Phyllis and fur baby Jewel, whom she absolutely loved more than anything.
Over the last few years, Donna was embarking on a new life path; her destination was finding and sharing pure inner joy and happiness, spreading her love and wisdom.  She was taking courses and training to become a body talk practitioner and had already become a certified life coach.  Donna had a way of elevating everyone around her, her infectious smile and laughter touched so many people in so many different ways.   She listened, guided and cared with true heart felt passion.
Left to celebrate the beautiful life and spirit of Donna are her beloved fur baby and companion Jewel, her mother Phyllis, brother Dennis (Renee), and special niece Raquel, goddaughter Zory Solski, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Peter, Uncle Ernie Kereluk, maternal grandparents Mike and Anne Kereluk, and paternal grandparents Bill and Annie Rehirchuk.
Memorial Service was held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating.
