Donalda Arlie McIntosh, age 89, passed away in Dauphin on April 28, 2018 after a short stay in the hospital.
Arlie was born January 13, 1929 in Dauphin. She married Loyd McIntosh in Winnipeg on March 27, 1947.
Arlie was predeceased by her parents Bill and Belle Dagg, her brother Earl Dagg, her husband Loyd McIntosh, and her significant other partner in later years, Ted Birss.
Arlie is survived by her two daughters, Rae (Pat) McCoy of Merritt, BC, and Lorraine (Doug) Ibbitson of Salmon Arm, BC; also by her grandchildren, Joe (Dierdre) McCoy, Steven McCoy, Dawne (Corey) Prutton and Erin (Jason) Donchi; great grandchildren, Melanie, Andrew, Jaden, William, Reese, Payton and Ryder; sister-in-law Melvine Dagg and many nieces and nephews, and her extended family - Ted’s children Dayle, Sherry, Craig and Kaylene. Arlie also leaves behind her dear friend and neighbor Mabel Bailey.
Arlie worked in the Creston BC Hospital kitchen and was head of her union. She loved to bowl and go canoeing with Loyd in her younger years, and loved her winters in Yuma with Ted, and in her later years she enjoyed watching curling and hockey on tv and going to the Dauphin Seniors Centre to play cards with friends.
Arlie will be laid to rest in Dauphin at a private family gathering at her request. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer in B.C.
