Dennis Perih Obituary

Dennis Perih of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 56 years. Dennis was born in Dauphin on September 20, 1963 to Helen and Mike Perih.  He was the youngest of seven, raised on the family farm near Valley River, MB.  He received his education in Dauphin until he was 16 and decided that was enough!  He worked many jobs over the course of his life but the majority were as truck driver and heavy equipment operator. In 1982 he met his life partner, Della. After seven years together they married on the family farm on August 12,1989. They lived a short time on the family farm then moved to Sifton for a few years while Dennis developed a yard site that they could call their own. They moved to their current homestead in 1993.
On July 17, 1992 their first child, Janessa, was born. She was the love of his life and he spent many happy days caring for her and playing with her as she grew. On July 10, 1998 their second child, Ryan, was born.  Now his family was complete as he had a beautiful daughter and a handsome new son to carry on his family name. He was very proud of his children. He carried their pictures with him wherever he went and proudly showed them to people he met. Dennis enjoyed fishing and especially eating the fish after the catch. He really didn't care if he caught or not as long as there were fillets in his plate at the end of the day. Dennis and Della took their first warm winter vacation with Janessa, David and Ryan to Playa del Carmen. He was bit by the travel bug and enjoyed vacationing in winter every year after that to Cuba, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. His all-time favorite was Puerto Vallarta. He had hoped to travel there again in 2020 but life had other plans for him. On September 25, 2019, with his family by his side, Dennis lost his brief battle with cancer.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Helen Perih; brother, Ernie; and brother-in-law, Richard.  Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Della; daughter, Janessa (David Morton); and son, Ryan. Also left are brothers, Greg (Valerie) and Jerry Perih; and sisters, Bernice Hayhoe, Marie Perih and Kathy Perih (Allan Dayman); sister-in- law, Rosie Drewniak; and brothers-in-law, Larry (Bernice) Drewniak, Ron Drewniak, Ken (Barb) Drewniak and Wayne (Sandra) Drewniak as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
