The Squance family is sad to announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, and grandmother Darlene Squance on March 2, 2018.
Darlene was born in Gilbert Plains on August 25, 1945 to Phyllis and Howard Currie. On August 8th, 1964 Darlene married Jack Squance of Grandview. Darlene and Jack worked side by side on the family farm for 48 years until they moved into the town of Grandview.
Darlene is survived by her husband Jack of 53 years and daughters Jacqui (Sean FitzGerald) and Tammy (Rick Kowalski). Her pride and joy were her grandsons Michael FitzGerald and Tyler Kowalski. She also leaves to mourn her brothers Wayne Currie (Faye) and Jack Currie (Susie) as well as a wonderful extended family and countless friends.
Darlene was a cheerful, and caring woman with many interests and talents. With her endless energy she enjoyed visiting, gardening, camping, cards, fishing, curling, bowling, horseshoes, and much more!
A celebration of her life was held at the Grandview Kinsmen Community Center in Grandview, Manitoba on March 10th at 2:30 pm with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Darlene can be made to the Grandview Resource Council on behalf of the "Seniors Are Cool" program at the Grandview Elementary School.
