It is with great sadness that Cory Jaret Rossin age 39 passed away on June 23, 2018 in Dauphin Manitoba.
He was born August 10, 1978 in Dauphin Manitoba to Tamara (Schaefer) Rossin and George Rossin. He is the youngest of three boys who kept their parents busy as they were growing up. Cory loved playing hockey and being with his friends. As an adult Cory lived in many places and where ever he lived he was always on a hockey team. Cory was married to Genevieve Lebel on March 18, 2006. Cory was successful at anything he tried. He worked for many years as Services Coordinator: integrated personal support centre at the Canadian forces base in Shilo Manitoba. During the summers he would take time to help out on the family farm. Cory loved hiking,camping, skiing, bicycling various trails in Manitoba, quading, travelling and most of all hockey. Hockey was his first love. He was an Oilers fan. Cory loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his two cats and dog. He had a great sense of humour and could make everyone laugh. He enjoyed meeting new people and could make friends wherever he went. Cory loved his family, he was an excellent cook and liked having family over for a meal.
Cory is survived by Genevieve Lebel of Dauphin Manitoba. His parents George and Tamara Rossin of Dauphin Manitoba his brothers Clint Rossin (Jennifer & Niles) of Carberry, MB and Chad Rossin of Dauphin MB, his grandmother Klara Schaefer of Dauphin MB. He is survived by his uncle Heinz Rossin (Donna) of Dauphin, auntie Karen Rossin (Gerald) of Dauphin, aunt Alice Allen (Scott)of Dauphin, Darlene Hawryluk (Al) of Edmonton, aunt Erika Cooper (Wes) of Regina and uncle Ernie Schaefer of Winnipeg. He is survived by in-laws Pierre and Madeleine Lebel of Ste. Rose du lac, Pierre Lebel JR and Michelle Meadows. There are numerous cousins and many friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Bruno and Bertha Rossin, aunt Linda Rossin, and grandfather Ernest Schaefer.
We often sit and think of him when we are all alone. For memory is the only friend that grief can call it’s own; Like ivy on the withered oak, when all other things decay, Our love for him will still keep green and never fade away.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Cory may be made to the Parkland Humane Society in Dauphin Mb.
Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10:00 am from Mountainview Christian Assembly in Dauphin, MB with Pastor Scott Allen officiating.
