With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Colleen Patricia deMeulles on March 11, 2019 at the Winnipegosis Health Centre.
Colleen was predeceased by her husband Danny, her mother Phyllis Vosper, her three brothers, Jerry, Dennis & Rick.
She is survived by her children Dale (Rhoda) deMeulles of Churchill, Laurie (Herb) Rempel of Fork River, Angela (Joel) Smith of Dauphin, sister Joyce (Joachim) Ayaruak of Winnipeg, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Colleen was born September 15, 1939 in Regina, SK and at the age of thirteen moved with her family to Churchill where she made her home until 2003 when she moved to Dauphin.
At fifteen years of age Colleen began working for the National Harbour Board as kitchen help & server at the Number One Staff house. It was during her four years working there that she met the love of her life Danny. The love bloomed and they married on March 7, 1959. In the years following they welcomed three wonderful children, Dale, Laurie & Angie.
Colleen was always a person who liked to help others. You could find her volunteering and working in her community for a wide range of organizations and committees, as well as from her home cooking and delivering food for shut-ins and those less fortunate.
Colleen left a lasting impression with her unique personality, fashion and flare. A beautiful person who will be dearly missed by her children, her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
