Angela Rosanne (Bernat) Michaluk

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Angela Michaluk on September 7, 2019 at the age of 64.
 Angie was born on December 5, 1954 in McCreary, MB to parents Mike and Katherine Bernat (Yurkewich).  She grew up on the family farm in the Ethelbert area with her two brothers, and in the early 60s, they relocated to the Dauphin area.
 In 1973, Angie married the love of her life, Andy Michaluk.  They were blessed with two children, Adrian and Amanda.  They moved to Sparwood, BC in 1980 where they frequently enjoyed camping with friends in the mountains.  They moved back to Manitoba in 1983 where they settled on the family farm.
 Angie worked for the Parkland Regional Health Authority as an Administrative Assistant for many years.  After retirement, she kept busy with her home based business, Grey Ridge Home Products, selling bath salts, lotions, jams and jellies and dehydrated vegetables.
 Angie had a true passion in life for nature and animals.  She was known for her amazing green thumb, and her yard and garden showcased her dedication.  She also loved to feed and watch all the different birds that visited her area.
 She was an amazing cook and was always trying to feed people the second they stepped into her kitchen.  As they left, their arms would be full of leftovers, canned goods or vegetables and fruit from her garden.  
 Her love and devotion to her cats was legendary, and as much as she enjoyed travelling, she was always so happy to return home to her “kitties”.  As many can attest to, she always had a funny story or picture of her animals to share.
 She leaves behind to cherish fond memories her husband of 46 years, Andy; son, Adrian (Val) and daughter, Amanda; her mother, Katherine Bernat; her two brothers, Bob Bernat and Leonard (Cheryl) Bernat; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.  She was predeceased by her father Mike Bernat and sister- in-law Marlene Bernat, brother-in-law Alvin Michaluk.
 We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all that have reached out and supported the family during this time.  We will miss the twinkle she always had in her eye, the mischievous grin she frequently wore and her great sense of humour. 
 Those wishing to remember Angie may honour her memory by making a donation to the Parkland Humane Society.
Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Father John Legitimas officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.
