Josephine will be fondly remembered by her partner of 41 years Irvin Moar, her children Shirley (Fred), Kenneth, Murray, Brenda (Brian), Gail (Ken) and Amanda along with her 24 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, her sister Doris (Babin) and her little dog Rosie along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Mom always made sure to let us all know that she loved us, and for some reason when we would leave her home after a visit, she would stand at the window and watch us drive away.  I'm sure she was saying a prayer for us on our travels.  Mom, we will be here for each other and we will do what you wanted us to do and that was to love and watch over each other.  Mom, we love you and we miss you and we will see you again someday.

“The Watcher” by Margaret Widdermer

She always leaned to watch for us
Anxious if we were late,
In winter by the window,
In summer by the gate.
And though we mocked her tenderly,
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe,
Because she waited there.
Her thoughts were all so full of us,
She never could forget,
And so I think that where she is
She must be watching yet.
Waiting ’til we come home to her
Anxious if we are late
Watching from Heaven’s window
Leaning from Heaven’s gate.
