Clara Razor passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Brandon, Manitoba at the age of 78 years.
She was born on July 12, 1934 in the Valley River First Nation, Manitoba.
Clara was predeceased by her husband, Emile Langan; parents, Richard and Julia Razor; stillborn daughter, Donna Darlene; brothers, Joseph, Graham and Alex; sisters, Virginia and Madeline.
Surviving to cherish many fond memories is her family: son, Richard of Roblin; daughter, Shelly (Cameron) of Shortdale, MB; 7 grandchildren, Kyle, Jamie, Tristin, LaVonda, Tarin, Kevin and Jayce.
Traditional wake was held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 beginning at 4:00 p.m. from the Clifford Lynxleg School Gymnasium at Valley River First Nation, Manitoba. Traditional Funeral Service was held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Clifford Lynxleg School Gymnasium, officiated by Elder Kingsley Brandon. Interment followed in the Roblin Catholic Cemetery in Roblin, Manitoba. Laying Clara to rest were Pallbearers Cameron Ironstand, Jamie Ironstand, Kyle Razor, Tristin Razor, Alvin Sinclair and Denis Pangman.
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Dorothy on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by her loving family at the age of 62 years.
She was born on May 7, 1951 in Duck Bay, Manitoba.
Dorothy leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her children Donnie (Shelley) Racette & Matthew Chief, her stepchildren Karl Harasym, Karen Morrisseau and David Sanderson, her special grandchildren Jeffery Racette & Riverdon Racette, her brothers Leonard Flatfoot, Brian Beauchamp Sr, Peter Beauchamp (Darlene), Daniel Beauchamp (Marilyn), Wally Beauchamp (Georgette) & Edward Beauchamp, her stepsister Lillian Nepinak along with 42 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 23 years Allan (Crockett) Morrisseau, her brothers Louis Beauchamp, Gary Beauchamp, Lloyd Beauchamp, and Raymond Beauchamp, her step sisters Agnes Flett, Joyce Lavallee and Annie Nepinak.
Rest in Peace, Dorothy, you will be missed.

Funeral Services was held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Crane River, Manitoba with Pastor Howard Burnie officiating. Interment followed in the Birchwood Cemetery in Swan River, Manitoba. Laying Dorothy to rest were Pallbearers Brian Beauchamp Jr., Donald Beauchamp, Peter John Beauchamp, Trevor Beauchamp, Billy Jack Beauchamp and Jerry Flatfoot. All who knew Dorothy were considered as Honorary Pallbearers.
Baby Ava Grace Brezden, infant daughter of Kyle Brezden and Tina Bujak, passed away at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre on Thursday, May 16, 2013.
Graveside service was held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from the Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, Manitoba with Rev. Steve Wilson officiating.

Lloyd Christensen passed away on May 15, 2013 in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba at the age of 78 years.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Grace Baptist Church in Ochre River, Manitoba with Pastor Allen Unger officiating. Ministry in Music was provided by Adele Murray and Cynthia Amman. The eulogy was delivered by Charlene Christensen and Donna Jaremy. A private family interment was held in the Turtle River Cemetery. Serving as Active Pallbearers was Karl McKinnon, Ian McKinnon, Kris McKinnon, Wayne Cochrane, Dale Cochrane and Bob Gilroy Jr. All those in attendance were considered as Honorary Pallbearers.
Those wishing to remember Lloyd may honour his memory by making donations to Palliative Care at the Ste. Rose Hospital, or to the Ste. Rose Splash Park.
With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Anne Voelpel of Dauphin, MB on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the age of 94 years.
She was born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan on February 4, 1919.
Left to cherish very fond memories are her children John (Joyce) Voelpel, Lillian (Bill) Wilson, Elmer Voelpel (Marge Aitkenhead); 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Della Miller of Roblin, MB.
Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Matt Voelpel; her father, Philip Adam who passed away before her birth; and her mother Nettie (nee Dressler).
Funeral service was held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dauphin, with Pastor Howard Burnie officiating. Joanne Mansoff served as organist. Interment followed in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. Laying Anne to rest were Pallbearers Ken Wilson, Brad Wilson, Don Wilson, Rick Voelpel, Scott Watson and Matthew Mullen. All of Anne’s friends were considered as Honorary Pallbearers.
The church was a very important part of Anne’s life. Those wishing to remember Anne may honour her memory by making donations to Trinity Lutheran Church.
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Regina Bretecher (nee Bilodeau) on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Personal Care Home in Ste. Rose du Lac at the age of 92 years.
Regina was born on May 28, 1920 at Toutes Aides, Manitoba to parents Joseph & Albina Bretecher (nee Ricard). She married Alexander Bretecher on November 18, 1939 in Transcona, Manitoba. Following their marriage, they lived with Alexander’s parents on their farm before moving to their own farm in 1943.
In 1950, Alex & Regina purchased a business in Toutes Aides where Regina set up a grocery store & coffee shop in her home. She also operated the concession at Manipogo Beach for 24 summers.
Upon their retirement in 1985, they moved to Dauphin and in 1997 Regina moved to the Trois Villas in Ste. Rose du Lac and later to the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home.
Regina was predeceased by her husband Alexander on May 4th, 1999 and by two brothers and one sister.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her three children Louis Bretecher (Lucille), Angele Friesen (Brian) and Anita Koski (Frank) as well as by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Prayers for Regina were offered on Monday, May 20th at 1:30 pm in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church with the funeral mass following at 2:00 pm. Fr. Leo Fernandes and Fr. Eric Zadji celebrated the mass with the interment following in the Notre Dame de Toutes Aides Roman Catholic Cemetery, Toutes Aides, MB.
Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Regina to the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB.

It is with great sadness that the family of Georgie Poulton wish to announce her passing at the Dauphin Regional Health Center on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
Predeceased by her parents George and May McClure, Georgie leaves behind to celebrate her life, her husband of 66 years, Norm, her children Barbara and husband Merlin, Gordon and wife Darcey, Andrew and wife Mindy, grandchildren, Allison and husband Colin, Amy and husband Devon, Chelsea and friend Lucas, Tess, Dana and great grandchildren, Hudson and Piper. Also her brother and sisters, Elizabeth, Charlie and wife Elenor and Catherine and husband Lloyd and numerous nieces and nephews.
Georgie was born in Winnipeg and after her marriage to Norm in 1947 they built their first home in West Kildonan, where they started their family. She was very involved in the community, especially Kildonan United Church, where she was superintendent of Sunday School for many years. During their time in West Kildonan Georgie made many close friends, whom she always kept in contact with. In 1966, Dad’s career took them for a short time to Brandon and a year later to Dauphin, where they put down deep roots. Mom was very involved in Eastern Star, the Dauphin First United Church and with the Seventh Avenue Neighbors. She looked forward to weekly coffee with her good friends and attending the Shrine functions, especially the parades, with the Shrine ladies. Georgie enjoyed travelling with Norm, especially to hot destinations where she loved the heat, always making new friends along the way. Family celebrations were important to Georgie and she especially looked forward to the annual family picnic, where the family would gather to celebrate in one day, all the occasions (Birthdays, Valentine, Easter, Halloween, Anniversaries and Christmas) that had take place over the year.
The family expresses its sincere gratitude to the nursing and support staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Center for their care and compassion given to Mom during her hospital stay.
A funeral service was held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Dauphin First United Church.
In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations in memory of Georgie can be made to the Dauphin United Church or a charity of their choice.

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Nestor Shewchuk, at the age of 78, on May 16, 2013 at Dauphin Regional Health Centre.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Nettie and children Terry & Vida Shewchuk, Diane & Bill Morgan, Debbie Rac & friend Brian Longmuir, Kenneth & Rhonda Shewchuk, Donald & Angie Shewchuk and 19 grandchildren.
Brother Martin & Carol Shewchuk, Sisters, Iris & Peter Rohatensky, Gladys & Gordon Sheppard, Vicky & Doug Martin and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Emily Shewchuk; his in-laws Mary and Jack Filipchuk; brothers-in-laws Martin, Eugene, Roy Filipchuk, Art Riley, David Shewchuk and; sister-in-laws Anne Doell, Alice Filipchuk, and Irene Filipchuk niece Sophie Boileau; nephews Jack Riley and Terry Filipchuk.
Nestor was born on February 13, 1935 in the Zalicia district of Garland, Manitoba.
He attended Zalicia Elementary School. At an early age he quit school to follow his passion of farming. When he was sixteen he purchased his first farm. Nestor married Nettie Filipchuk on January 11, 1957. In 1969 Nestor & Nettie took over his parents farm were they raised their five children until they retired to Dauphin in the fall of 1996. During his retirement he continued to help his son Ken with the family farm.
Nestor learned with the help of his father, how to play the accordion. He played in many bands, performed at the Dauphin Ukrainian Festival, the Yorkton TV station and in his later years he volunteered to perform at the senior centers.
Nestor’s enjoyed fishing and catching the “big one that got away”. He never missed his annual fishing trip to the north with friends and family.
In the 90’s Nestor with the help of his wife found and restored his first tractor, a 1955 Minneapolis Moline U. The tractor and the original threshing machine are now on display at the Grandview Agricultural Museum.
Memorial service was held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverside Evergreen Chapel in Dauphin, Manitoba with Ilene Dowd officiating. Alice Allen served as organist. The eulogy celebrating Nestor’s life was delivered by Terry Shewchuk. A private family interment took place at the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all your support, food, phone calls, cards, prayers, flowers and special gifts at this difficult time. Your gestures have touched our hearts. We would like to thank Dr. Penrose and all the medical staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for helping our father throughout his illness.

Catherine Chickoski passed away on February 18, 2013 in Grandview, Manitoba at the age of 100 years.
She was born on May 29, 1912 in Kansas City, Kansas, USA.
Left to cherish fond memories is her family: her children, Ed and Sandy Chickoski, Virginia Chickoski, Richard and Hope Chickoski, Charlotte and Stan Hrehirchuk; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. There are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Memorial service was held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church in Grandview, Manitoba, officiated by Fr. Paul Bisson. The eulogy celebrating Catherine’s life was delivered by Hope Chickoski and Karma Boates. The readers were Geri Smith and Pam Lefebvre. Scott Hrehirchuk served as Crossbearer and Alan Hrehirchuk served as Urnbearer. Interment followed in the Grandview District Cemetery.
